Hotel Windsor

This is the hotel that we stayed in. It's just right opposite the Parliament House :) Apparently it's some historical hotel and the Cricketers Bar in it has some sort of history too :O Here's the link to the hotel's website for you to read up by yourself hahaha. Well it looks old from the outside and the interior's rather baroque too. It's a small hotel and the lobby's kinda mini too. But don't judge a hotel by it's size! It's five stars k hahaha :) It's super untouristy actually. Most of the guests appear to be Australian, and on the older side. I guess most youngsters don't really appreciate antique places like this. Oh it's afternoon tea at 111 Spring St (hotel restaurant) is super famous apparently. Too bad we didn't have time to try! :( I must add that the service (concierge, desk, restaurant, housekeeping) is definitely 5 stars and so is the room (awesomely big!)! :D

The lobby!

Flights of fancy :)

Walking down the red carpet!

Our room, the victorian suite! Wait for it----

Hallway with coat hanger

Living room (super boring TV with only ~5 channels...) The magazines provided were mainly on tourist attractions and stuff

Dining/meeting room. Oh the artworks are original apparently :O Oh and those are frosted glass stained windows :)

Complimentary apple from the front desk hahaha there was a bowl full of them xD

Drink-making area, teabags were provided

My sister and I shared this room (the room with no view hahaha)

Master bedroom! This TV on the other hand, has tons of programmes xD We got so hooked on the French channel which screened french dramas at night haha

Oops I don't have photos of the bathroom! But anw it's quite big and has both a bathtub and a shower area :) Toiletries were provided yayness :)

A classy envelope filled with hotel info and stuff

Morning view!:)

We had buffet breakfast at 111 Spring St restaurant on the ground floor. The spread was pretty good, though not as great as I had hoped after having those in Europe. One cool thing was that you could toast the bread yourself using the toaster :)

FRENCH TOAST!!! Look at how thick it is! It's super warm and soft and absorbed the maple syrup really well. I haven't tasted better!:D The strawberries on the other hand, were a tad disappointing. They were sweet, but mainly cos they had been soaked in syrup. And yes, that yellow blob is a canned peach haha.

Really love how you get a cute bottle of jam all to yourself xD

Poached egg. Aussie eggs are def much 'eggier' than sg's eggs.

Grilled tomatos and sauteed mushrooms!

Hashbrown, bangers and muffins were awesome as well :)
